NORTHERN League club Crook Town have named ex-Ryhope CW boss Paul Bennett as their new manager, with Andrew Wood assistant.

Bennett had a short stint at Ryhope last season, having previously managed Hebburn Town and been joint boss of Jarrow Roofing.

Bennett replaces Gary Pearson, who recently took over at Ryhope CW.

Crook start their pre-season away to Scottish club Dalbeattie Star on July 12 before hosting Chester-le-Street (July 19), South Shields (July 22) and Shankhouse (August 2). The Millfield men also visit Darlington RA (July 26) and Tow Law (July 29).
