TIM Krul is a doubt for Newcastle United’s home game against Leicester City an elbow injury.
The goalkeeper has been forced to withdraw from the Holland squad ahead of Monday’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland.
Krul – who had a six-week spell out with an elbow problem in the 2012-13 season – suffered the problem in training yesterday.
He had been on the bench for Friday’s 3-1 win over Kazakhstan in Amsterdam.
Krul will now be assessed on Tyneside ahead of Leicester’s visit to St James’s Park on Saturday.
Meanwhile, United manager Alan Pardew is hopeful Krul’s international colleague Daryl Janmaat will be fit to face Nigel Pearson’s side.
Janmaat was forced out of the Holland squad with a hamstring problem last weekend.
