HARTLEPOOL United are keeping tabs on Matty Dolan after the midfielder was made available for emergency loan by Bradford City.

The 21-year-old had a loan spell at League Two Pools last season from Championship neighbours Middlesbrough under former boss Colin Cooper.

He made 20 appearances between August and January before returning to Boro, ahead of signing for Bradford on a permanent basis.

SportMail understands Pools have been keeping tabs on the Bantams midfielder, with City open to loan offers before tonight’s teatime emergency loan deadline.

Boss Phil Parkinson said: “He has trained so well and his professionalism has been brilliant. He’s been unlucky really not to get more of a chance.

“If someone did come in before the deadline to take him on loan and we feel it’s the right move for him, then we would consider it.”

Paul Murray was being understandably coy at this morning’s press conference about potential loan targets.

But when asked whether Dolan was on his radar at this morning’s press conference, Murray told SportMail: “You never know.”
