HARTLEPOOL United have completed the permanent signing of Sunderland defender Scott Harrison.

The 21-year-old centre back re-joined Pools for a third loan spell at the start of January and the club has been keen to make that a permanent move.

Harrison said: “It feels good to be at Hartlepool permanently now.

“I just want to get cracking now on keeping on playing the way we have been, winning games and getting out of the trouble we’re in at the moment.

“I’ve committed myself to it now and I think all the rest of the players are so now have to concentrate on climbing the table,” added Harrison who was speaking to the club’s website.

The Middlesbrough-born centre-half is a popular figure among the Pools camp and he was keen to return for his third loan spell.

Former boss Colin Cooper first brought Harrison to the club towards the end of last season and he impressed alongside Sam Collins, who is now the club’s assistant manager under Moore.

Cooper was always keen to bring him back and he arrived for a three-month spell in August but he had to return to Sunderland in late November after reaching the end of his 93-day youth loan.
