LEYTON Orient have confirmed the signing of Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Ben Alnwick until the end of the season.
The ‘keeper has joined the League One promotion hopefuls on a short-term contract until June, and will provide competition for Jamie Jones.
Alnwick had signed a one-year contract at Charlton in September and made 12 appearences for The Addicks before making the switch across London to The O’s.
The 27-year-old, who began his career at Sunderland, made his first team debut aged just 18 and has been capped at every youth level for England. Alnwick has rejoined Orient following a brief spell on loan at Brisbane Road in 2011.
The goalkeeper will go straight into the Leyton Orient squad for their trip to Rotherham on Saturday.
