EASINGTON Colliery are anxious for tonight’s Wearside League game against Houghton Town to go ahead at Welfare Park.
Secretary Alan Purvis said: “We have played only 21 games while some clubs have managed as many as 26, so we have quite a bit of catching up to do. I’m fairly confident that we’ll get tonight’s match played.”
Easington have manager Andy Colledge back from Australia, but miss keeper Joe Atherton. Left-back Chris Hall and midfielder Chris Tarn need fitness tests.
Houghton have only one injury concern, in Jamie Clark.
