TOTTENHAM Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby has completed a loan move to Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The German – who spent the second half of last season at Fulham – was signed by Spurs one-and-a-half years ago, but failed to secure a regular starting place.
Hamburg have also secured an option to sign the 23-year-old at the end of the season-long loan.
Holtby’s departure from White Hart Lane could free up space in the squad for Danny Welbeck, who has been linked with a loan move from Manchester United.
Welbeck has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle United and Sunderland this summer.
