HATEM Ben Arfa has rejected a move to Championship club Birmingham City.
The forward has been frozen out at Newcastle United since reporting back for the start of pre-season training in July.
And Ben Arfa – who has a year left on his deal – is available for transfer, but he won’t be going to St Andrew’s
Birmingham manager Lee Clark had been keen to take Ben Arfa on loan, but the 27-year-old was unwilling to make the move.
Speaking at the weekend, former Newcastle midfielder Clark said: “He’s obviously a Newcastle United player, and there’s a situation up there with him not being in the team.
“But I don’t want to talk about any other teams’ players.
“If anything was to happen we will let you know.”
United manager Alan Pardew has refused to discuss Ben Arfa’s situation in recent weeks.
