CELTIC trounced title pretenders Hearts as former Sunderland striker Anthony Stokes grabbed two goals.
Pre-match talk was of the third-placed Edinburgh side challenging the Old Firm for top spot, but the visitors fell behind to a seventh-minute goal from James Forrest.
Celtic created a host of chances with Stokes’ second-half brace and a goal from Anthony Stokes and a goal from substitute Paddy McCourt cementing their place at the peak of the SPL.
Hearts were the last team to beat Celtic back in November but saw their 11-game unbeaten league run come to a juddering end.
The Hoops are now 10 points clear of third-placed Hearts.
