HOUGHTON Dairy Lane’s 6½-½ home win over nearest challengers Silksworth has secured them only their second ever Swan Cup Division One title – and their first since 1934.

Storey Bowl leaders Hetton Workmen’s extended their advantage to 17½ points with a 6-1 victory at Thompson Park, while Silksworth only need a single point from their final two games to secure a third consecutive Earl Cup Division One title. A 6-1 defeat of Seaham maintained their unbeaten record.
