THE pressure is on Durham Jets going into tonight’s NatWest t20 Blast trip to Leicestershire Foxes (5.30pm).
Head coach Jon Lewis says his men must win all three of their final group games to have the chance to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Durham, outgunned by Leicestershire at the Emirates ICG earlier this month, are seventh in the nine-team North group, four points adrift – with a game in hand –of Worcestershire Rapids, who are in the fourth and final qualification place.
Jets finish off with two matches on successive nights next week, away to Lancashire on Thursday and at home to Northants the following night.
“It has to be three wins out of the next three or we haven’t got a chance,” Lewis told durhamccc.co.uk.
“But if we do get the three wins then we do have a chance, and if we can get to 16 points and keep our run-rate nice and high then maybe we’ll get through to the quarters which will be good.
“It’ll be great to get to the final home game with something still to play for.”
