DURHAM Cricket Board Under-15s continued their winning ways with a five-wicket victory over Lincolnshire at Norton.
Lincolnshire won the toss and elected to bat, posting 215-6 from 50 overs. Alex Grimes top scored on 54 from 56 balls, backed by 48 from opener Tom Smith before being caught just short of his half century by Liam Burgess.
Matthew Potts was the pick of the bowlers for Durham, bagging 3-22, while Burgess picked up 2-49.
Both of Durham’s openers got off to a great start, with Potts scoring 32 from 33 balls, backed by 50 from Ross Greenwell. But it was Scott Steel, who came in number five, who secured Durham’s victory, hitting an unbeaten 79 from 84 balls, including nine fours and a six.
Durham knocked off the score in only 42.2 overs.
