CHESTER-le-Street U15s held on to win by one wicket against Willington in the North East Premier League’s 40-over competition.

Willington skipper Jake Louth top-scored on 56 in their 136-6, helped by 20 from Luke Warnett, while Ollie Barrett picked up 2-19.

Chester had opener Daniel Jukes bowled by Louth in the first over, but Josh O’Brien stuck around to fire 33, backed by 21 from Joe Riley and 20 from Kyle Dodds, as the Ropery Lane lads squeezed home.
