GEORGE Harrison’s unbeaten 99 steered Chester-le-Street to a match-winning 178-2 in the Warmseal Durham Senior U18 League.
In reply, Horden fell short on 96-9.
Liam Irwin’s superb 77, backed by 33 from Philip Winpenny, led Castle Eden to 142-2, but Lee Henderson (47) and Elliott (47no) guided Whitburn (143-5) home by five wickets.
Sean Tindale stole the show as Hetton Lyons overcame Burnmoor by nine wickets. Tindale grabbed 3-14, while Jack Burnham took 3-10, as Moor struggled to 82-9. Tindale’s unbeaten 38, helped by 30 not out from Daniel Foggin, eased Lyons home on 85-1.
In the 3D Sports Durham Coast League’s U18 William Orton Cup, Washington just had the edge on Ryhope. Scott Lawrence (44) and Catcheside (39) took Ryhope to 144-3, but Tom Colledge (32) and Chris Purdy (54no) sealed a seven-wicket win.
Fenwick (75no) and Ryan Higgins (38) steered Easington to a match-winning 149-2 before Nathan Newton (23) top-scored in Dawdon’s 77-8.
Hodgkinson’s 4-27 kept Seaham Harbour down to 94-8 before Peterlee (95-5) secured a five-wicket win.
Adam Dawson, Josh Coughlin and Jack Burnham all retired with half-centuries as Hetton Lyons beat South Hetton by 133 runs in the Warmseal Durham Senior U15 League. Taylor (21) top-scored in South Hetton’s 52 all out.
Mark Davison (42no) and Scott Steel (35) led Durham City to 113-4, before restricting Boldon to 67-7.
Eppleton kept Whitburn down to 61-5, Glover (21) top-scoring, with Braydn Davis taking three wickets. Eppleton were 0-2 after four overs, but Joe Blacklock (20), Luke Hutchinson (18) and Jack Hopkins (16) secured victory on 63-4.
Sean Rowell bagged 3-10 and hit 28 as Felling (96-2) beat Sunderland (95-7) by eight wickets, while Colin Mann snatched five Philadelphia wickets for just four runs as Marsden (61) managed a hard-fought 15-run victory. For Phili, Rachel Petherick starred with 5-12, while Teasdale bagged 3-13.
Hetton Lyons beat Burnmoor in the cup, with Jack Burnham hitting a memorable, unbeaten 101 and Joseph Russell adding 52 not out in their 158-0 before Moor made 85-4.
In the Coast League’s Alf Armes U15 Cup, Bennett and Bute both hit unbeaten half-centuries as Ryhope Red outgunned Dawdon (82-7) by 58 runs.
Matthew Corner’s 36 led Washington to 90-5 before Hylton were dismissed for 40, Niall Cutter bagging 5-7.
Hylton (70-7) exited to Bill Quay (103-4).
Eppleton U13s beat Sunderland by 10 wickets in the Durham Senior League Cup. Duell hit 21, but Sunderland were all out for 46 as Charlie Ord, Luke Young and Jack Ramshaw took two wickets apiece. Ord’s unbeaten 27 steered Eppleton home on 47-0.
Layla Tipton grabbed four wickets as Eppleton U11s beat Hetton Lyons, while clubmate Jae Jarvis hit 18 not out and took two wickets.
