DURHAM have extended the contracts of batsman Mark Stoneman and pace bowler Mark Wood.
Opening batsman Stoneman, who made his debut as a teenager in 2007, has penned a two-year deal until 2015, while Wood, 23, is staying at the Emirates ICG until 2016 at least.
Stoneman, who has scored 4,455 runs in 101 games in all competitions, said: “I will be looking to continue my recent form scoring runs at the top of the order in all three formats and the added responsibility of captaining the Yorkshire Bank 40 side in the absence of Dale Benkenstein.”
Wood, who has bagged 14 wickets this seaso, added: “We have a fantastic squad and I am really looking forward to helping Durham challenge for some silverware over the next few years.”
Durham return to action with a Yorkshire Bank 40 clash at home to Lancashire on Sunday (1.45pm).
