H Durham University firsts blew a two-goal lead in their 2-2 Pensions Hockey League Conference North draw at West Midlands outfit Khalsa.
Jonny Maunder’s penalty corner and a Sam Driver strike had Durham two ahead by the 54th minute, but the hosts instantly replied through David Harris before Jack Wells levelled from a penalty corner nine minutes from time.
With three matches to go, Durham – beaten just once this season – are third, eight points behind leaders Brooklands Manchester University.
Hugh Robinson’s side have their penultimate away match of the campaign at third-bottom Belper on Sunday (2pm).
