Phil Jeffries has promised a "Bank Holiday spectacular" when championship boxing comes to the Rainton Meadows Arena.
Thornley's Darren Surtees will top the bill when he takes on Middlesbrough's Ross Jameson for the Northern Area light-welterweight title.
Surtees, unbeaten after six pro bouts, will start as favourite but Jeffries says the Petelee-trained boxer will take nothing for granted.
"This is a derby and a big chance for Ross," said the promoter. "He's spent much of his career on the road but he'll be right up for this.
"It is going to be a great fight.
"On my last show here we had Lewis Ritson and Jordan Ellison and that is as good a Northern Area title fight as you will ever see.
"This could be up at that level too."
Two unbeaten Sunderland stars, Warren Baister and Isaac MacLeod will look to extend their 100% runs as will Peterlee-based prospects Jay Hughes and Chris Wallace.
Ritson will tune up for a British title shot at the Houghton venue too.
"I have 11 bouts planned, " said Jeffries. "The fans love derbies so to get Darren and Ross together for the Northern Area title is brilliant.
"It's going to be a Bank Holiday spectacular in one of the best boxing venues out there."
