Bowls stars in north for Test battle

STANLEY stages an international bowls Test match this weekend, with England tackling Scotland over two days at the Louisa Centre.

Although there are no local players on show, the line-up is packed with some of the game’s leading lights.

The format of the match will be sets play with two triples and 3 pairs matches tomorrow, followed by six singles matches on Sunday.

Play starts at 10am on both days and spectators are welcome. Admission costs £5 per day.
