Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson today hinted that he is still pursuing former loanee Darryl Duffy, writes CHRIS YOUNG.
Swansea striker Duffy will return to Victoria Park on Saturday for the first time since last season's two-month loan stint when he hit five goals in 10 games for Wilson's men.

Though the Pools boss is not expected to make any loan signings before
tonight's deadline, indicated that Duffy was still on his radar, saying: "We are always interested in good players.

"Whether we can get them or not is another matter."

Ex-Falkirk and Hull forward Duffy's opportunities have been limited at Swansea, with boss Roberto Martinez usually preferring a 4-5-1 system.

Wilson said: "Darryl is a very good player. We have tried to get him a couple of times but we have not been able to.

"He played very well for us in that loan spell and we know he is a threat.

"Swansea play a certain system, which makes opportunities difficult to come by, but he (Duffy) came on at half-time against Bristol Rovers (on Monday) and helped to change the game."

Richard Barker (hamstring) is 50/50 but unlikely to face Swansea at Victoria Park on Saturday, while Pools wait on progress from Sam Collins (bruised ribs).
