Anton Ferdinand will not make his debut against Manchester City on Sunday, Roy Keane confirmed.
The centre-back, 23, has only just recovered from a hamstring injury.

"He's only had a couple of sessions," said Keane. "He won't be involved on Sunday.

"We have a two-week break after City so I don't want to risk him, I'd be kicking myself if anything happened - I've made the mistake before.

"It even happened with Teemu (Tainio) earlier this season. He missed a couple of (training) sessions before Liverpool with a thigh problem and we threw him in and it backfired. I will learn my lesson eventually."
