Horden CW manager Craig Veart is hoping for a positive reaction in tonight's game at South Shields after the Colliers surrendered a three-goal lead in the mid-week fixture with Chester-le-Street.
He said: "It was so disappointing. We were in control at half time but then went 4-3 down. The lads came back and equalised with a minute remaining but then leaked a fifth goal.
"We were all demoralised but have got to pick ourselves up although i
t's not going to be easy at Filtrona Park.
"The Mariners are the in-form team and will be looking to make it eight consecutive wins and move into third place."
Horden are third from bottom and Veart goes into the game minus Mark Nicholson, Graeme Robinson, Craig Hubbard and goalkeeper Craig Shields.
Fortunately, James Winter is available to deputise for Shields.
Tomorrow, Chester-le-Street aim to build on their mid-week victory when they visit Ryton in a bottom six clash.
The Cestrians are just one place and two points above their hosts and

Fifth top Dunston UTS are at Consett. The teams have identical playing records and manager Billy Irwin anticipates a close result. So too does Consett boss Kenny Lindoe whose only absentees are David Duke and David Gordon.
In Division Two Washington will hope to arrest a seven- match losing sequence which has seen them plunge from sixth top to sixth bottom.
Manager David Lee is hopeful of having three new players available for what is certain to be a difficult game with promotion challengers Jarrow Roofing.
He said: "We gave Roofing a good game in the Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup on Tuesday night when we lost by an only goal and perhaps the lads will take inspiration from the performance.
"Glen Reay and James Pounder both return."
Seaham Red Star are also involved in back-to-back fixtures, only this time the venue is Hebburn Town.
Last Saturday Red Star hit the South Tynesiders with a seven goal mauling but go into tomorrow's match minus the suspended Anthony Laidlaw and Craig Snowdon who has returned to Horden CW.
Birtley Town prop up the table and at home to Whickham manager Scott Oliver has Ross Thomas standing by in case goalkeeper Johnny Hands cannot play.
