Easington Colliery are up to third only four points off the top with two games in hand on both the sides above them.
There was no stopping the Colliers as they hammered seven goals past Ashbrooke Belford House who managed only one in reply from Peter Benson.

Paul Moss rifled a hat-trick, Chris Tarn bagged a brace with Paul Stewart and Barry Turton, with his fir
st goal for the club, also on target.

Coxhoe Athletic are second after they could only draw with Annfield Plain despite leading twice courtesy of Wayne Hall and Lewis Henry.

Paul Henderson was the scorer of Plain's first equaliser and substitute Kelvin Armstrong netted late in the game.

Ryhope CW claimed their fifth win of the season, defeating Boldon CA with first- half goals by Adam Brown and Jason Jones but Silksworth Community's hopes of a double over New Marske didn't materialise.

Chris Wilson was an early marksman for the Wearsiders but after Alex Anderson restored parity, the Seasiders gained revenge for a Sunderland Shipowners' Cup defeat with second-half strikes by Shaun Mackin and a deflected own goal.

East Durham United denied Wolviston in the first half but then conceded two goals to Michael Murphy and Craig Brown.

Jarrow regained winning form in a six-goals thriller with Guisborough HC. The feature of the game was a hat-trick by Andrew Barclay with Andy Wilkinson Jarrow's other scorer. David Campbell and Paul Round (pen) responded for the visitors.

Stuart Meney was the day's top individual scorer with four of Newton Aycliffe's five goals at home to Windscale. Chase McMullen also struck.

Hartlepool were back to winning form at the expense of bottom-of-the-table Willington. Paul Gibson (2), Lee Kitching and Alex Thomas led their side to an easy victory.
