Wearside League
ASHBROOKE Belford House were gutted to see Windscale snatch a point late on last night.

Tommy Dobbing's side made an excellent start, taking a two-goal interval lead thanks to Michael Charlton and Paul Robertson.

Ted Kirkbride reduced the deficit on 70 minutes and, just before the end, Simon Borrowdale's shot was deflected in by a Belford defender.

Ryhope CW's chances of clinching at least the runners-up spot improved with Hartlepool's 4-1 defeat at Cleator Moor. Pool remain second, equal on points with leaders New Marske and two ahead of Ryhope, who have two games in hand.
