As a supporter of Liverpool I was gutted to see this fluke, as I am sure most of the Liverpool fans are. Liverpool has not been playing at top form, so the kid who sent the beach ball onto the pitch is not totally to blame for the misfortunes of Liverpool.

I think for the safety of the kid he should not be identified, as some of my fellow fans will be very angry over this incident.

if you look closely, the defender actually kicked the beach ball away he made contact with it this is what made it fly away, Bents shot flew over the defenders foot, This goal is 100% legit None of the sky people have done a frame by frame breakdown, if they did i think you would see the ball might not have even made contact with the beach ball !! ?????

How did the ball get back out of Reinas net because if you look just before Bent received the ball from Reid the beach ball was sitting quite happily in the back of the Liverpool net maybe it was blown out by the hot air from the Liverpool fans. Fair play to the Liverpool manager their was no moaning about the goal but I was very surprised when he was complaining about Cattermoles injury being time wasting especially as he could be out for months.
