The bookmakers are gearing up for the new Barclays Premiership season, and we've spotted a few bets that could have you raking in the winnings.
If Sunderland match Roy Keane's ambitions and win some silverware you can have a slice of the financial glory too. Skybet have placed the Black Cats at 2000/1 to win the league, while our north-east rivals Newcastle are at 400/1. A Sunderland FA Cup win is a much more realistic possibility at 40/1.

Skybet feel that Sunderland are much more likely to sample relegation, putting odds of just 11/2 on Keane's men. Newcastle are not much better placed at 14/1.

Kenwyne Jones is a long shot for Barclays Premiership top scorer at 100/1, Sunderland's new arrival El-Hadji Diouf is worth a punt at 150/1.

If you feel Newcastle's Michael Owen can recreate his best form and bang in the goals, place a bet on him to finish the season as the Premiership's elite marksman at 33/1.

And Keane's men, bolstered by the signings of Diouf, Malbranque and Taino, are 10/3 to finish above the Mags.

Place £1 on a league and cup double, with El-Hadji Diouf finishing top scorer and you'll net a cool £1,200,000

If you want to bet safely, a Manchester United title win is priced 11/8, and Cristiano Ronaldo is 6/1 to finish top scorer.
