With Michael Owen in the last year of his Newcastle United contract, speculation is growing about how much longer he'll be at the club.
Newcastle fans are already worried about losing their star striker and it seems Sunderland supporters would be happy to pile on the misery
for their rivals.

The latest hot topic on the Sunderland Echo Sports forum suggests that the Black Cats faithful would be happy to see Owen wearing red and white stripes should he leave the Magpies.

The recent post by 'pallionlad' asks whether Sunderland should move for Owen now citing "his doubts as to who will be manager in three months time and whether the club will be sold" as two reasons the England striker is likely to leave.

Gloomy Mac,

Is this really journalism?!
'And next, what some bottom feeder thinks about something on the internet'

Are you really a journalist or are you the guy who makes the tea and photocopies his backside?
Given that you work for the Mackem Sun (see in dictionary under 'failure'), the question is moot.

Good luck to LeedSunderland in the next few years.

I for one certainly don't want Owen at Sunderland. But keep the hilarious stuff about the Mugpies coming!
