End of the world for Diouf

The World Cup dream is over for Sunderland star El-Hadji Diouf.
His Senegal side crashed out of the African qualifiers for the finals in South Africa in 2010 when they could only draw 1-1 at home to Gambia on Saturday.
The draw meant the Terenga Lions also miss out on the next African Nations Cup finals – and failure to move into the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers caused fury in Dakar, with angry home fans rioting and attacking the national federation's headquarters.
Abdou Kader Mangane had Senegal ahead in the second half of the match they had to win, but Tijan Jaiteh stunned the hosts with an equaliser five minutes from time.
That secured Gambia's place as group runners-up to surprise winners Algeria, with the winners and the eight best runners-up of the 12 sections progressing to the last phase of qualifying.
Diouf played the full match for Lamine Ndiaye's men, alongside fellow Premier League men Henri Camara, Salif Diao and Abdoulaye Faye, but was unable to deny the Gambians.
He will be 33 by the time of the 2014 finals, so missing out on 2010 is a huge blow to Diouf, who starred for Senegal in the 2002 finals.
