WE'VE MADE it to the end of an eventful season.

I am sure all fans would have taken this position last August but it has been a disappointing end to the season – we deserved better.

The players and manager have made mistakes but have held their hands up and admitted this. We need to learn from this season and grow stronger for next year.

This game will be tricky, even though Arsenal have nothing to play for.

They are an excellent side and when I went to the away game at the Emirates in October I thought they were going to win the league.

Despite seemingly having taken their foot off the gas recently they are still a great side with some world class players.

We will have to be a lot better than we were against Bolton. It would have been lovely to end the season by breaking the 40-point barrier but I am not sure it will happen now.

Roy needs to field his strongest possible side and go all out for a win. We have nothing to lose now.

Let's hope for a great last game of the season at the Stadium of Light. Champions League spots next year anyone?!
Prediction: SAFC 1 Arsenal 1

WE'RE playing for prize money and pride and Sunday is a lot better than our previous two last games in the Premier League, when we were relegated long before those games kicked off.

The build up to this one, given Arsenal have nothing to play for – and are rumoured to be sending up their youth team – has been less than inspiring.

Our leader is pouring the cold water of reality on any celebration, saying there is little to celebrate (and he's right in a way of course). However for those diehards among us, staying in the Premier League is a good effort; don't begrudge us a smile and a round of applause Roy.

Roy has released four players already this week, and the Irish press are speculating that Miller and McShane will not be too far behind.

That plus the fact Derby have stolen our "worst ever" record means I'm happy enough, and I will be celebrating – but only a little.

The score? Roy cares, we care, but do the players?
Prediction: SAFC 2 Arsenal 1

ROY Keane has reiterate his sentiments of last year and said we haven't won anything yet, but I have to disagree.

After two of the worst Premier League seasons ever, this year we have won some respect back. The SoL feels like it could be returning to a ground where teams fear to tread and the never-say-die attitude means opponents know they (usually) have to play well until the final whistle.

Around seven weeks ago, this was looking like one of the crucial final day fixtures with us trying to stay up and Arsenal chasing the title.

Now we're the only ones with anything to play for with the chance to get a million or two more for finishing a bit higher.

It would be good to get something from this match. Most teams around us have picked up points against the top four, which we have failed to do.
Prediction: SAFC 2 Arsenal 1

IN JANUARY 2007, after winning 4-2 at Sheffield Wednesday, Keano blasted the players for complacency. It turned out to be a masterstroke in psychology and we went on a remarkable run losing only one more game as we stormed to the Championship and promotion.

His comments after last week's dire performance at Bolton may have a similar impact against Arsenal, but there is no doubt that a big clear-out is looming in the summer.

This season will be seen by the fans as having produced a satisfactory outcome, Roy will be aware that it could have been better yet it could have been so much worse.

We will always be grateful for the ten points gained in injury time this season, without which we would have been relegated.

Looking ahead to Sunday the Gunners are unable to finish second and therefore will have to pre-qualify for the Champions League. We are safe so I hope to see a good spectacle and desperately hope we don't go out with a defeat.

I want to hear all sides of the ground singing, "there's only one Jonny Evans". I hope it is not the last time I see him in a red-and-white shirt.
Prediction: SAFC 1 Arsenal 1

Gary Hollern
IT'S been a job well done as far as staying in the Premier League, but we've not had enough overall quality to start pushing up the league.

I would have been happy with 14 or 15th at the beginning of the season, but I expect us to push on next season and finish much further up the table.

I expect some sort of response from the players after last week's no show of a performance.

I'm hoping to cheer a resounding win against Arsenal, but I can't see it happening if last week's performance is anything to go by.

We might squeeze a point if we play to the top of our game – then it is time for a clearout.

People say we can't attract quality, but surely we can attract better than Wigan and Bolton? If you are prepared to pay, they will come.
Prediction: SAFC 2 Arsenal 2
