Sunderland are the club most likely to land Middlesbrough sensation Adam Johnson, according to Sky Sports.
Boro winger Johnson, 22, has been in superlative form for the Teessiders this campaign, scoring nine goals so far.

The Easington-born player has been linked with a host of other top clubs after rejecting the offer of a new contract at the Riverside Stadium.

With his current deal set to run out at the end of the season, Black Cats boss Steve Bruce would like to capture the England Under-21 international's signature in the January transfer window, skysports.com has reported.
