Kenwyne Jones, who is halfway through a three-match ban for his sending-off against West Ham last month, will by missing for Sunderland's game against Arsenal on Saturday.
Jones was shown a straight red card in the 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light on October 31 for raising his hands to Herita Ilunga.

That is an incident that still bothers Bruce, especially as the same referee, Andre Marriner, only booked Blackburn's Pascal Chimbonda when he appeared to slap Portsmouth's Jamie O'Hara the following week.

Bruce said: "I've just compiled a DVD of Mr Marriner, who sent off Kenwyne.

"If anybody watched last weekend, when Chimbonda punched another player - he gets a yellow card.

"He gets free from suspension. I have just asked them to clarify.

"The same referee, it's unbelievable. He gets a yellow card."
