Sunderland are reported to have offered a trial to Derry City defender Ken Oman.
The 25-year-old is out of contract and available on a Bosman transfer.

He had a short spell training with Stoke City recently and it was thought he would join the Potters, but no offer has been forthcoming.

Oman joined Derry at the start of last season after being released by Bohemians. The Dubliner recovered from a shaky start at the Brandywell, but is regarded as their player of the season this term. Derry's eircom League campaign ended with a goalless draw at Premier League strugglers Longford Town last night.

As Oman would be a free agent, Sunderland would be able to sign him immediately if he impresses.
