Sunderland are reported to have offered a trial to Derry City defender Ken Oman.
The 25-year-old is out of contract and available on a Bosman transfer.
He had a short spell training with Stoke City recently and it was thought he would join the Potters, but no offer has been forthcoming.

The Dubliner recovered from a shaky start at the Brandywell, but is regarded as their player of the season this term. Derry's eircom League campaign ended with a goalless draw at Premier League strugglers Longford Town last night.
As Oman would be a free agent, Sunderland would be able to sign him immediately if he impresses.
