Get started on your summer body today!
Advertorial Feature
With months to go before the first day of summer, it’s not too late to get the body that you’ve always sought after. With numerous fitness instructor jobs now available, there are plenty of personal trainers ready to help you get you in the right frame of mind and on your way to that calendar body. Here are a few tips to get you on your way, whether you’re training alone or alongside an instructor, these tips will be beneficial.
Tip 1:
Drink plenty of water. Water is natural and good for you, drinking at least eight glasses of water a day assists your body’s metabolism and you will feel the benefit. Avoiding fizzy and unhealthy drinks will also make you feel fresher and ready to exercise. It’s not difficult but can make a big difference.
Tip 2:
Make sure you get your five fruit or vegetables a day and don’t feel like you can’t have more. If you’re struggling to eat five a day then look for alternative ways to make sure you get the necessary amount. Drinking fruit smoothies are a great way to help you get an extra one or two of your five a day but make sure you check the label before purchasing to check the nutritional value of the contents. Try to replace a regular food product in your diet with healthy options. Instead of having a packet of crisps with your sandwich at lunch try having an apple, or a banana or both!
Tip 3:
Buy some vitamins and take them regularly. They’re usually cheaper than a pint of lager and a packet of crisps, they last longer, they don’t make your breath smell like cheese and onion, they’re a million times better for you and best of all they’re a great way to cheat and get a large proportion of your necessary daily vitamins to supplement your diet.
Tip 4:
Don’t be a couch potato. We’re not saying you can’t keep up to date with the soaps or have to miss the football match. Instead of sitting on the sofa resembling Jabba The Hutt from Star Wars but with a packet of crisps, sit yourself on the floor, put the crisps away and try doing a few sit ups or press ups. You’ll not only get to see who is cheating on who or Messi’s latest wonder goal, you’ll also be getting toned in the process. Multitasking never got easier.
Tip 5:
Swimming is a great form of exercise because it provides a workout for the whole body. Many swimming pools will also have sauna and steam rooms which are both really good for the skin, so not only will you have the perfect beach body, you’ll also look pristine as well. Great news all round.
