Ross Wallace has turned down a £1million move to Preston North End.
Sunderland accepted a bid for the winger but Wallace hopes to prove his worth at the Stadium of Light.

The former Celtic flankman played almost every game in the first half of last season, but was transfer-listed in January before injuring his knee in training.

He returned to the fold to feature in the closing day loss to Arsenal and is determined to fight for his place again as he enters the final year of his current deal.
