Roy Keane expects to make his first new signing "in the next 48 hours".
And the Sunderland manager admitted he could have as many as five or six fresh recruits in place by the time the club returns from the tour to Portugal in a week's time.

He said "I have got some good bids in and I think we are close with some of them. Possibly in the next 48 hours."
