Sunderland midfielder Jamie Chandler has clinched a place in England's squad for this month's Uefa European Under-19 Championship finals.
Nineteen-year-old reserve-team regular Chandler – along with Middlesbrough keeper Jason Steele – beat the cut when England head coach Brian Eastick had to reduce his 22-man squad to 18 for the finals in the Czech Republic.

But there is no place for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll when the squad was announced by coach Noel Blake.

England's campaign starts against the Czechs in Jablonec on Monday, July 14.

They also face Italy on July 17 before completing their Group B programme against Greece in Liberec (July 20).

ENGLAND SQUAD: David Button (Spurs), Jason Steele (Middlesbrough), Ryan Bertrand (Chelsea), Ciaran Clark (Aston Villa), Jack Cork (Chelsea), Joe Mattock (Leicester), Krystian Pierce (Birmingham), James Tomkins (West Ham), Jamie Chandler (Sunderland), Fabian Delph (Leeds), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Daniel Gosling (Everton), Daniel Rose (Spurs), Victor Moses (Crystal Palace), Scott Sinclair (Chelsea), Freddie Sears (West Ham), Daniel Sturridge (Man City), Daniel Welbeck (Man Utd).
