Spanish forward Daniel Guiza could be on his way to Sunderland.
Though reports that talks have opened with Black Cats boss Roy Keane are believed to be wide of the mark.

The 27-year-old Guiza played in last night's Euro 2008 final, coming on as a substitute to replace goal hero Fernando Torres.

The Spanish league's joint top scorer last season – he scored 27 goals for Real Mallorca (with no penalties) – Guiza is reportedly looking for a big move and a switch to the Premier League would appeal to him.

Sunderland are said to be ready to launch a £10m bid for the striker, who would command wages in the region of £40,000 a week, but could face strong competition with transfer activity set to hot up following the end of Euro 2008.

Tottenham and Manchester City are also said to be watching his situation, with Barcelona and Roma also believed to be interested.

Guiza only forced his way into the Spanish national set-up at the end of last year but has had a great year and finished joint top scorer in La Liga alongside Valencia star David Villa.

Guiza has scored twice for Spain, with his second in the 3-0 semi-final win against Russia.
