VISITORS to Durham City did a double-take when flesh-eating zombies took over its cobbled streets.
Thankfully, the undead were fund-raisers from the Angel Inn pub.
Jo Ferry, manager of the pub, said: “What started, as most good ideas do, as a chat in the Angel Pub, turned into a day out dressed a zombies.
“Not only did we enjoy it, but the second and third glances we got from people made us smile even more.”
Punters from the pub spent the day dressed as zombies to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (Cry).
Cry aims to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac deaths by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and screening facilities.
