Let them get on with job

Have your say

The House of Commons had a vote to leave the final decision to the general public on whether the United Kingdom leaves or remains in the European Union.

This was agreed by a majority of six to one and a referendum was called.

Before the referendum, a leaflet was issued from the Government which stated “On Thursday, June 22, there will be a referendum. It is your opportunity to decide if the UK leaves or remains in the European Union. This is your decision, the Government will implement what you decide.”

To his credit, the decision to leave the European Union made the Prime Minister, Mr Cameron, decide to resign.

This is so clear cut, so how can a philanthropist born in Guyana, Gina Miller, which some industrialists labelled the ‘Black Widow Spider’, and a Spanish hairdresser, Deir Dos Santos, cause Judicial Obstructionism to try to ensure yet another vote for the Members of Parliament on the same issue.

Now we have Tony Blair, Sir John Major with the ‘neutral’ Mark Carney in the background pushing for another referendum, if we are so stupid to vote, why do they want another referendum?

Isn’t it time the courts said enough is enough and let the elected government get on with its job.
