Are Labour voters seeing the light?

I would like to congratulate Independent Coun Kathleen Pearson on her election to Hetton Town Council in May's Town Council by-election.

The election cost the cash-strapped Labour-led council and its council tax payers an estimated £4,000 in election cost and Labour took a thrashing just as they did in the Sandhill Ward by-election in January this year and just as they did last June when traditional Labour voters ignored their party’s call to vote remain in the EU Referendum.

Are traditional Labour voters beginning to see the light and are no longer willing to vote blindly the way their parents and grandparents did?
