The Met Office has confirmed that although there is a mix of sunshine and showers this weekend, the visibility should still be good enough to enjoy what is sure to be an amazing display.

Saturday is set to be the best day out of the two, remaining dry with good visibility, but Sunday isn't a write-off, with experts saying as long as spectators are prepared for some light spots of rain, they should still be able to enjoy the event which runs from 12pm to 6pm.

Emma Sharples, a meteorologist at the Met Office said: "This weekend looks to be a mixed bag in terms of weather.

"Saturday should be a good day, remaining dry with some sunshine, meaning that it should be a fairly pleasant day with good visibility for the airshow.

"Temperatures will also remain warm, around 21 and 22 degrees.

"Sunday is a bit off a different story, so spectators should be prepared for a few spots of rain first thing, but visibility shouldn't be affected.

"Later on there should be some outbreaks of rain from the west and it will be a bit breezy.

"Temperatures shouldn't be any different from Saturday, but it may be a bit cooler because of the showers."
