FOOTAGE of a party in caused an internet sensation when a video of group of entertainers went viral.
Make My Day Events, which sends performers to children’s parties dressed as Disney princesses and superheroes, is now receiving acclaim from as far away as Canada, after a video of their dancers clocked up more than 1.4 million views.
A mum put a video of staff from the company performing to Bruno Mars’ hit Uptown Funk on Facebook and the video has since been shared more than 25,000 times.
Debbie Hayes, who runs Sunderland-based Make My Day Events, said; “We were doing a Superhero School event in Hartlepool last Saturday and one of the mams put it on Facebook.
“The likes on our page were just going up every second and we started getting messages from people in Devon, Manchester and Essex but I still didn’t know what had happened. When I realised on Sunday morning the video already had 30,000 views.
“We’re just a family-run company and we just physically can’t cope with all of the inboxes and phone calls we’re getting. It’s like everyone in the country is trying to get in touch. It’s crazy but it’s a good kind of crazy.
“We even had someone from Canada asking if we could do their son’s birthday party. I told them it would take a bit of time for us to get over!”
