Dementia UK and Washington Young Writers were the chosen recipients of funds raised at the Rotary Club of Washington’s annual Terry Gibson Memorial Golf Tournament held at Boldon Golf Club. There was an excellent turn out for the Four Ball Better Ball 3/4 handicap, tournament. The day started off with a bacon butty and on their return members enjoyed a pre-booked lunch of fish and chips. Thanks go to Boldon Golf Club for an excellent day. The winners were: First Andy Potts and Neil Chahal with 44pts, Terry Gibson’s family presented the cup. Second were Greg Peacock and Ian Swan with 42 points and third was Shaun Fryer and Joe Fryer with 42 pts. A great day had by all.
