MOTORISTS are being urged not to leave their vehicles as they defrost after a car was stolen from a driveway.
The blue Skoda Octavia was taken from Belmont, Durham, just after 8am on Friday.
Inspector Paul Anderson, of Durham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This is an open invitation to any criminal walking past.
“Please do not make it easy for them.
“Do not leave your car unattended. It may well be your insurance does not cover in such circumstances, leaving you out of pocket, as well as no car.”
