A CHANCE has arisen to take part in one of the North East biggest cultural events this summer.
Enthusiastic, music-loving volunteers are needed to ensure Brass: Durham International Festival 2012, is a swinging success.
The festival, from July 6 to 22, promises stunning street performances, interactive installations, community and educational activities and mass events.
Durham County Council, which organises Brass, is on the lookout for volunteers to take on important roles, including festival stewards and artist chaperones.
Council arts officer Nikki Locke said: “Brass is an exciting, ambitious and dynamic event, and we need people who share our enthusiasm and commitment to support us in making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for people to gain invaluable experience of being part of a major cultural event.”
