TWO men have been arrested after a disturbance in Sunderland.

At around 3.10am this morning, officers were called to a house in Hylton Terrace where a window had been smashed.

It was established two men had made off from the scene in a white transit van.

Officers arrested two men at an address in Southend Road and also recovered a weapon.

It is believed those involved are known to each other and the alleged offence is possibly linked to an earlier incident in Hylton Terrace.

Extra officers are in the area to continue enquiries.
