The community has rallied round to help him and his family, including the youngsters at Buttercups Nursery at the Bunny Hill Centre who took part in a sponsored fancy dress toddle.

Manager Joanna Brown said: “Kian loves dressing up so we thought it would be the perfect way to raise money for him.

“We’re all devastated by what’s happened and want to do anything we can to help.”

Money raised will go towards paying for a trip to Disneyland Paris for Kian and his family.

The youngster faces at least a year of treatment after being diagnosed with the cancer.

A fund-raiser will also take place at the The Supa, the former Castletown Snooker Club, on May 17.
