TOTS had a roaring good time at their kindergarten’s birthday party.

Staff and toddlers from Cleadon Village Kindergarten donned their wildest outfits for a jungle-themed party.

The kindergarten was celebrating its 15th birthday with a wild day.

Bo Patterson, Supervisory Nursery Nurse, said it went brilliantly.

“It was a fabulous day. The kids were all dressed up as animals. We had monkeys, tigers and butterflies.

“They enjoyed games and dancing and then we had party food.

“The kids were hyper all day, it has been great fun.”

As well as party activities, nursery nurse Kerry Coleman, 42, shaved her head to raise funds for the children’s hospital Great Ormonde Street.

Bo, 24, from Houghton, said: “Kerry has been very brave and shaved her head. She has already raised over £650, which is just great.”

The nursery caters for children aged six months and over, and offers after school services for older children.
