The Vamps boy band confirm for Sunderland music festival

THE Stadium of Light has announced the latest act to join the line-up at North East Live.

Up-and-coming boy band The Vamps will kick off the star-studded pop fest at the home of the Black Cats on June 22.

They are the latest act to be announced for the five-hour concert which already includes JLS, The Wanted, Rita Ora, James Arthur, Little Mix, Amelia Lily, Conor Maynard and more.

Four-piece The Vamps are made up of Bradley Will Simpson, James McVey, Tristan Evans and Connor Ball. They became internet sensations after recording their covers of hit singles by One Direction.

They recently signed to Universal Records and are currently supporting Mcfly on their UK tour.

North East Live doors open from 1pm with a funfair, fun family-friendly activities and music, with the main show starting at 2.30pm.
