REEM team Harry Derbridge, pictured, and sisters Sam and Billie Faiers are bringing a touch of Essex glamour to Wearside.
There’ll be big lashes, big heels and even bigger barnets at the city’s first Reem Party hosted by the trio from hit show The Only Way is Essex (Towie) at the Quayside Exchange next month.
This latest event follows the success of a Durham Reem party last month in which hundreds flocked to the Slug & Lettuce bar in Walkergate to see Sam and Billie whose appearance on the ITV2 has seen them become media darlings.
David Clark from Networks4All, the promotions company behind the Reem parties, named after one of the show’s catchphrases, said: “We had a really good result with the Durham Reem party. The place was packed. The show is massive at the moment and to have three characters from the Bafta award-winning show coming to the city is a big coup for Sunderland.
“Not many celebrities come to Sunderland, but Sam and Billie had a brilliant time from beginning to end when they came to the North East last month.”
He added: “It’s really difficult to book them for an appearance because they are so in demand and filming starts again in September. It’s going to be an amazing night. I think the days of booking a celebrity and relying on them just to turn up to fill the club are gone, you have to put on a lot more for people.”
As well as getting the chance to meet the stars of the shows, visitors to the Reem party, which is sponsored by Dangerous Couture, will be treated to a red carpet entrance, VIP photography, champagne and canapes, a burlesque show, nail and vajazzle bar, and entertainment from a fire-eater and magician.
The Towie stars will also make appearances at Amore restaurant, in Tavistock Place and The Glass Spider in Green Terrace, for Reem After Show parties after the main event which starts from 7pm on August 26.
Tickets are priced £10 or £20 for VIP. They are available from the Quayside Exchange or from tel. 07949 370770 and 07780 835953.
