A HOSPICE has thanked sponsors of its annual calendar by holding a special lunch.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice’s charity calendar, which commemorates the hospice’s 25th year, showcases iconic landscapes from around Durham.
Sales from last year’s calendar raised £13,000 towards local hospice care.
Sponsors of the calendar visited the hospice to see where their support goes.
Guests dined on a freshly cooked buffet lunch and were given tours of the hospice.
Ian Richardson, of Sneddon and Richardson Ltd Electrical Installations, continued his company’s support of the hospice this year.
He said: “My father Harry Richardson, who founded the company, has supported the hospice ever since it opened in 1988.
“So many people need the hospice during their life and sponsoring the calendar is just a small way of helping people in our local area.“
The 2013 Calendar is now on sale for £3.50, available from www.stcuthbertshospice.com.
